Hi, I'm Shokofeh.

My full name is Shokofeh Hejazi. I was born and raised in Iran, where I studied Graphic Design as a college student. I have been teaching a variety of subjects, like art, history and literature, to students of all ages for the last 30 years, in Iran and the US. I began tutoring Farsi ten years ago in Torrance, California, where I live today.  I love bringing Persian culture and language to life in households where Farsi is brand new or at risk of being lost, as new generations of Iranian-Americans start their own families. I've also been known to teach students how to cook Persian food as part of their Farsi language lessons!
